Application Timeline
To be notified of an admission decision by January 26, all elements of the application must be completed by December 9, 2022. Applications received and completed after the December 9 deadline will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Interview spaces fill up quickly, so please begin your application as soon as possible in order to be scheduled. We cannot guarantee interview availability for applications received after December 1, 2022.
Step 1: Online Application Submission
To begin the application process, please click here. The submission of the online application is considered complete when the demographic information and parent questionnaire are completed and the $75 fee is paid.
Step 2: Interviews
Upon submission of the online application, a member of the Admissions team will reach out to arrange the student and parent/guardian interviews.
Step 3: Recommendation Forms and School Reports
Through the Admissions Portal, send recommendation and transcript requests to your child’s current Math and English teachers, as well as their Principal or School Counselor.
Step 4: Testing
All applicants must take either the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE FCS code: 393315) or the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT FCS code: 3298) to fulfill our standardized testing requirement. You may also opt to have your child’s IQ assessed by a licensed psychologist who is certified to administer the WISC V test. Please ask the psychologist to email the results directly to admissions@friendscentral.
Step 5: Tuition Assistance (optional)
If you are considering applying for Tuition Assistance, please create an account through School and Student Services. Here, you will be asked to complete a Parents' Financial Statement and upload your 2021 tax forms (including all filed schedules). Tuition Assistance applications must be completed by December 9, 2022 in order to be eligible to receive a grant for an admission notification on January 26, 2023.
